Behaviour
Good behaviour in schools is central to a good education. Across the GLA, we understand that our schools and staff need to manage behaviour well to provide calm, safe, and supportive environments where children want to attend and where they can learn and thrive.
At Tredington Primary School, our focus is to promote the positive in line with our core school values: Nurturing, Enriching & Succeeding Together.
Our Tredington Way clearly outlines the expectation of pupils:
- Show respect to all members of staff and each other
- Help to create a calm classroom where everyone can learn
- Listen carefully and follow instructions promptly
- Move quietly and calmly around the school
- Look after our school buildings and everyone’s belongings
- Wear correct school uniform at all times
- Make good behaviour choices and take responsibility for positive change if mistakes are made
- Engage actively in all learning
- Keep ourselves and others safe
- Be kind, welcoming and helpful to everyone
Reasonable adjustments will be made, where appropriate, to ensure all pupils can successfully meet the expectations set out in our Tredington Way.

Our Behaviour Handbook outlines our individual approach to celebration and restorative practice in order to support the success of all children:
